1 packet or 2 1/4 tsp. Dry yeast
1 cup of bread flour, loosely scooped
</= 1 cup of water
If you don't have starter, but want to use the bread recipes listed in this collection, here is how you do it.
For each cup of starter listed in a recipe use 1 packet or 2 1/4 tsp. of dry yeast and 1 cup of loosely scooped flour.
For each, you will stir in somewhere between 1/2-1 cup of water to get the right consistency. It should be like a pancake batter, with no dry lumps.
Let sit until you see bubbles forming and popping, roughly 20 minutes.
Rising times may vary from what is written. Sometimes dry yeast will cause the dough to rise much faster. But as always, this depends on the conditions of your home and the flour. The rise time could end up being about the same. Just keep an eye on the dough to see how it's going, regardless of the time listed.
